What memories do we hold onto in order to continue living?

Uncountable waited nights unfolds through sewing as an embodied act of mourning. Each stitch becomes a gesture of remembrance, a quiet return to moments that persist within the body. Through the experience of confronting the unexpected death of a loved one, the work navigates the fragile tension between holding on and learning to let go. The repetitive motion of sewing echoes the act of counting stars in a dark sky an attempt to trace what cannot be fully grasped. Memory gathers slowly, thread by thread, as if the night itself were a surface onto which remembrance is stitched.

어떤 기억들이 우리를 계속 살아가게 하는가?

Uncountable waited nights는 애도가 신체화되는 방식으로서 자수를 통해 펼쳐진다. 한땀의 바느질은 기억을 향한 제스처이자 신체 내부에 잔존하는 순간들로의 정적인 귀환이다. 사랑하는 이의 부재와 직면하는 경험은, 붙잡아 두려는 것과 놓아주는 법을 배워가는 과정 사이의 위태로운 긴장을 조율한다.

이 반복적인 움직임은 어두운 밤 하늘에 수를 놓는 행위와 닮아있다. 이는 온전히 거머쥘 수 없는 존재를 좇으려는 시도이다. 밤이라는 시간 자체가 하나의 표면이 된 듯, 실을 연결해 가는 동안 기억의 층위는 천천히 쌓여간다.
