How do we face the presence of absence?
What does it mean to sense life within death?

Bloom of a Vanishing Dream explores moments of disappearance not as endings, but as spaces of transformation. Through performative installation, metal sculpture, and botanical forms, Park invites the audience to consider the fragile boundary between living and dying, presence and absence, blooming and withering.

Rooted in the encounter with an orchid that returned to bloom after appearing to die, the exhibition reflects on death as a provisional state within an ongoing cycle of becoming.

우리는 부재의 현존을 어떻게 마주하는가? 죽음 속에서 삶을 감각한다는 것은 무엇을 의미하는가?

Bloom of a Vanishing Dream은 사라짐을 끝이나 단절이 아닌 변화의 연속으로 바라본다. 설치, 조각, 마른 식물의 결합을 통해 피어남과 시듦이 공존하는 연약한 전환의 순간들을 조명한다.

죽은 듯 보였던 난초가 다시 꽃을 피운 경험에서 출발한 이 작업은 죽음을 잠정적인 상태로 재인식하며, 사라짐이 또 다른 형태의 지속이 될 수 있음을 탐구한다. 식물의 뿌리가 갈라지고 뻗어나가는 형상에서 비롯된 철 구조물은, 뿌리 없이 공중에 부유하는 식물적 풍경으로 확장된다. 이 존재들은 고정된 장소에 얽매이지 않고 실존하는 신체들의 존재 방식을 연상시킨다.
